Girl Crib
i always get her to fall asleep while holding her but as soon as i put her down its like a trigger goes off and she just cries. I had this problem with my son… only I didn’t try to get him into his crib until he was 4 months (he’s now 5 months and sleeping in his crib full time). I got him a seahorse (made by fisher price) that’s kind of like a glow worm. It does increase the risk of sids to have items in the crib with baby, but I went with this seahorse because it’s hard, not soft, so it wouldn’t mold to my sons face if he rolled into it, making it harder for him to suffocate with it. It has a soft glow and plays soft lullaby music for 5 minutes. I put it in the crook of his arm against his side so he has the feeling of being snuggled. The gentle glow and music put him to sleep. Of course, in the beginning, he would cry and I wouldn’t leave him in his crib very long because I couldn’t handle his crying. The trick I learned was to put him down early, before I went to bed, about an hour before. That way, while he’s trying to sleep and crying a bit, I’m preoccupied tidying up the house or watching the news and he eventually caught on it was bedtime and he was going to have to sleep in his crib. |
