Hot Pink Baby Bedding
The wall have to have different colors like baby blue, yellow, lime green, hot pink, orange colors like that? But something that a bed could match and the furniture could match. Or would that be too much? I need something that woulbe really colorful. play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the “painted” rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours: http://www.sherwin.com/visualizer/ I think a dark blue like “distance” (# 6243) would look terrific with any color of bedding – orange, yellow, red, lavender… You can also take a photo of your room & upload it to the makeover gallery on Roomvues dot com: http://tinyurl.com/55252v You can get color suggestions & they’ll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like. |

Girl Boy Bedding
Just trying to get an idea of what everyone has done. Any transitioning tips would be helpful. My daughter was around 2, my son was two and a half. We use bedrails to keep them from falling out. I’ve heard of kids in cribs well into 3, it really doesn’t matter. Some kids are younger than 2. Transitioning tips. Well, with my daughter we had a single bed in the room with her. I’d tuck her up, read stories and play for awhile in the “big” bed, then she’d sleep in the crib. What worked really well was one day we went on holidays and there was only a bed – we took rails with us. There was no choice and it was a new place, not home, so she accepted it really well. When we got home we just moved the crib out. My son had a grobag sleeping bag, we just moved him across to the big bed and he kept the grobag, he felt familiar and secure. Keep it fun and positive, have some cute bedding and talk it up. But if you child really resists give it a little time, there’s no hurry |

Bassinet Sheet
I got it as a hand me down from a friend. It’s the old standard version that just pops out and doesn’t lift up or have a bassinet/changing table or anything. When I see them online and in stores they always have sheets and matress protecters offered but mine is just the floor of the pack and play. Like metal and cardboard set up it seems. Can I purchase a matress or is this standard operation for a pack and play. HELP! No they should all have a mattress to put into it. I had the old standard ones without the bassinets and the mattress was always wrapped around and velcro than you pop out the pack and play and than put the mattress in it.. I wouldn’t use it.. Hope this helpsss.. |

Crib Toddler
My son is going to 1yr old this month. He’s already learning how to climb on everything! He can climb on the couch, up the playpen, and the other day I saw him trying to climb up the crib rails. My worry is that he’ll climb out in the middle of the night and get hurt. I have the crib lowered as far as it will go. I know he’s not ready for a toddler bed yet, so any suggestions from any mothers who have experienced this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! in my opinion, it isnt an age thing, it’s more about when they start showing signs they are ready. since your son has become quite the climber, I’d give it a shot! you need to stay consistant and patient. my son is 18 months old and not ready for a bed yet. i tried the transition and he just played and played. i threw in the towel, laid him in his crib and he fell right asleep. lots of moms tell me to make the transition a big deal. give the bed brand new fun bedsheets! |
